A front will help focus precipitation across the area through Sunday, while a low pressure system develops to our west. Lows will be in the middle 40s in the Upstate and near 40 in the mountains.
This low pressure system will move across the region Sunday night and early Monday and will continue our chances for rain. Highs on Sunday will not climb much from the morning lows with the Upstate climbing to around 50 and the mountains in the middle 40s.
Even colder air will move in behind the low Monday night to change the remaining precipitation over to snow across the North Carolina mountains. A deep upper level low will keep a cool weather pattern across the region through the middle of the week. Temperatures will remain below normal across the area until the second half of the week. With this cool northwesterly flow, there is also a chance for additional snow shower activity near the Tennessee border through Wednesday.
