Police investigating after two children shot in Marion

MARION, SC (WMBF) – Police are investigating after two children were shot Wednesday night on Montgomery Street, according to a Lt. Marilyn Rogers with the Marion Police Department.

The children, who are 11 and 9, were shot while setting off fireworks around 10:00 p.m, Rogers says.

Police say one child was grazed by a bullet and the other was shot in the back. The injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
