MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) – Thousands of people gathered from all over the country Wednesday afternoon to enjoy the Murrells Inlet Boat Parade.
The parade is a tradition for many in the Murrells Inlet community. This year was the 35th anniversary for the 4th of July celebration.
People at the parade said they celebrate the event to remember our freedom.
“It’s our Independence Day,” Carole Nelson said. “It’s our love for your country. It’s just showing our appreciation for our country and what our servicemen have done for us.”
