Conway man charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting friend

    CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A Conway man is out on bond following his arrest last week for allegedly shooting another man.

    Online records from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center state 33-year-old Aaron Leonard Brown was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

    He was released Tuesday on a $35,000 bond.

    An incident report from the Conway Police Department states the shooting happened at a residence on Lee Street on July 26 at 11:30 p.m. The caller told dispatch the victim had been shot by a mutual friend.

    When police arrived, they found the victim laying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest, the report stated.

    At the time of the report, the victim was reported to be in stable condition.
