Police look to identify individuals in connection to Grande Dunes burglaries


    MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach police have released several surveillance videos of people they are looking for in reference to a string of burglaries in the Grande Dunes area.

    In one of the clips, the person appears to be waving at the camera while heading toward a door.

    Police are asking that anyone who knows who the people is to call the department.

    Over the last several days, law enforcement officers have responded to a number of break-ins in the Grande Dunes community.

    According to a Myrtle Beach Police Department incident report, another incident appears to have happened Wednesday in the 1500 block of Chianni Lane, which is in the Grande Dunes area, around 3:45 p.m.

    The victim told police he had put his gun in the glove box of his vehicle to go shooting, the report stated. He then reportedly went back inside to do some other things.

    According to the report, when he came back out to the vehicle and opened the glove box, the gun was gone. When the victim looked in the center console, he also noticed that $26 in cash was missing, the report stated.
