Marla’s Labor Day Weekend forecast: hot, hot, hot… and humid


    MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) — Heat, humidity and a few storms will continue the theme of the forecast through the Labor Day weekend.

    Temperatures will quickly soar again today. Highs reach the upper 80s at the beach and lower 90s inland. The afternoon heat index will return to around 100° A few showers will be likely along the sea breeze and move inland from midday through the mid afternoon. Rain chances will remain near 20%

    Saturday and Sunday will be very similar with hot afternoon temperatures, plenty of sunshine and the heat index near 100 each afternoon. An isolated downpour or two will be possible each afternoon, but most areas will stay dry.

    A few storms will be possible for Labor Day but rain chances will only reach 20 to 30% with temperatures returning to the upper 80s and lower 90s.
