ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – The woman who was facing charges after reportedly striking and killing a 4-year-old child with her vehicle in May was found dead Tuesday at a home on Missouri Road, according to Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey.
Sealey says Nancy Ransom, 55, may have suffered a heart attack. She was charged with driving under the influence and felony death by motor vehicle.
Troopers say Ransom hit 4-year-old Timothy Sampson with her car in a Prospect Road parking lot on May 8. At the time of her death, Ransom was out on bond.
